Luggage tags

A luggage tag that keeps your details to yourself.

Most luggage tags print your name, phone and address for the whole airport to read. A tapitfindit tag shows none of that. Someone who finds your bag taps it, sees only what you choose, and messages you. Your real number and email stay hidden.

Your contact details should not be on the outside of your bag

Write your number on a paper or personalised tag and you have handed it to every stranger at the carousel. tapitfindit works the other way around. A finder gets a private page with just enough to reach you, a message form that lands in your inbox, and nothing else. You decide what is public, field by field, and the rest never leaves our server.

Built for the hold

Checked bags get thrown, rained on and crammed in. Our tags are durable and weatherproof, with no battery to die and nothing to charge.

Made for frequent flyers

Save your flight, hotel and dates once as a Trip and every tagged bag shows them at the same time. Land somewhere new, update the Trip, and all your tags update together.

Works on any phone

A finder taps the tag with any modern iPhone or Android and your page opens in their browser. No app, no account, no battery, on either side.

How it works

1

Stick it on, write your link

Pop a tag on your bag and write your personal link to it from the app. It takes a minute.

2

Choose what a finder sees

Add your details and tick what is public. Keep your phone and email private and a finder can still message you.

3

Get your bag back

If your bag goes missing, a finder taps the tag, reads your page, and sends a message. You are notified the moment it happens.

How it compares

A paper or printed tag

Shows your details to everyone, tears off easily, and tells a stranger your home is empty while you travel.

A Bluetooth tracker

Has a battery to charge, often needs a subscription, and only really helps when you are nearby with the right phone.

A tapitfindit tag

No battery, no subscription to scan, works on any phone, and your contact details stay private while a finder still reaches you.

Common questions

How do I choose a secure luggage tag for international travel?

Pick one that does not print your contact details on the outside. With tapitfindit a finder taps the tag and sees only the fields you marked public, then reaches you through a message form. Your phone number and email are never shown, at home or overseas.

What should I put on my luggage tag for privacy?

As little as possible in plain text. You do not need to write your name, number or address on the tag at all. Keep those private in tapitfindit and a finder can still contact you through the relay without ever seeing them.

Are the tags durable enough for checked luggage?

Yes. They are weatherproof and hard wearing, with no battery and no moving parts to fail. If you would rather use your own NFC sticker, choose a tough one rated for outdoor use.

Where can I buy NFC luggage tags in Australia?

Right here. Order a single tag or a 5 or 10 pack in our shop, with guest checkout and shipping across Australia. Prices are in AUD.

Do airlines allow NFC luggage tags?

Yes. An NFC tag is just a sticker with a link on it, like any luggage tag. It has no battery and transmits nothing on its own, so it is not a tracker and does not interfere with anything.

Does the person who finds my bag need an app?

No. They tap the tag with any modern iPhone or Android and the page opens in their browser. No app, no account, nothing to install.
